The new Wireless Inductive Charging method allows you to drive your BMW over a ground pad installed at your home, where the charging will then begin automatically without you ever having to plug anything in. An empty battery can be fully recharged in just 3.5 hours. If selected for the BMW Wireless Charging Pilot Program, the installation and removal of the ground pad will be covered by BMW of North America. To qualify, interested customers will be asked to enter their information and fill out a questionnaire. BMW has partnered with Qmerit in order to qualify customers and install the charging pads at the homes of those who qualify.
